CGPA
THE CGPA SYSTEM
The Course Grade Point Average (CGPA) system is applicable to courses registered for and/or by me. This is not to be confused with the regular Grade Point Average (GPA) system used by NTU to assess students’ performance in their courses.
1. Grades and grade points are assigned as follows:
| Letter-Grade | Grade-Range |
| A+ | 5.00 |
| A | 4.50-4.99 |
| A- | 4.00-4.49 |
| B+ | 3.50-3.99 |
| B | 3.00-3.49 |
| B- | 2.50-2.99 |
| C+ | 2.00-2.49 |
| C | 1.50-1.99 |
| C- | 1.00-1.49 |
| D+ | 0.50-0.99 |
| D | 0.01-0.49 |
| F | 0.00 |
2. The computation of Course Grade Point Average (CGPA) is as follows:
3. The Full List will be compiled on any basis. 100% of the cohort, subject to attaining a minimum Course Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 0.00, is eligible for the Full List.
4. The cut-off for each degree classification is as follows:
| CGPA Range | Classes of Honours | Description |
| 4.50-5.00 | First Class | If it clashes with your core, drop the core instead. |
| 4.00-4.49 | Second Class Upper | Go to STARS and plan it as soon as possible. |
| 3.50-3.99 | Second Class Lower | Be considerate to take if it still has vacancy left. |
| 3.00-3.49 | Third Class | If it seems interesting to you, no one’s stopping. |
| 2.00-2.99 | Pass | Well, at least it helps to clear the Academic Units. |
| 0.00-1.99 | Fail | This is the epitome of hell-spawned excruciation. |
5. No course may exercise the Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory (S/U) option.
